Synopsis
It's the end of summer and nearly time for school to begin again, but Seth has no intention of returning to Newport Beach. He's teaching sailing with Luke in Portland, Oregon and, despite his parents' best efforts to persuade him otherwise, is determined to stay away from home. Elsewhere, Ryan is working on a building site in Chino to support his pregnant girlfriend Theresa. And, back in Newport, Marissa and Summer are trying their best to forget their ex-boyfriends, in their own different ways. Sandy and Kirsten Cohen try everything within their power to bring the boys back in time for term, but can they reunite their family?, Kirsten orders Sandy to hit the road to bring Seth home; Marissa hits the booze to deal with Julie; Ryan's hit by bad news that could change his life in Chino forever. Meanwhile, federal trouble looms for Caleb.
