Synopsis
As Sun receives some chilling news about the ultimate fate of pregnant women on the mysterious island, Charlie, Jin, Hurley and Desmond race to save the dying parachutist. When Jack begins questioning Sun about her pregnancy, the nervous mother-to-be begins to suspect that the doctor is now working with the Others and confides her fear in Kate. After Kate reluctantly reveals that Juliet was the Others' fertility doctor, Sun seeks out the specialist and discovers that every pregnant woman on the island has died during their second trimester; when the Others found out about Claire's baby they wanted the infant for research. Meanwhile, Sun recalls the time in Korea when an older woman blackmailed her, forcing the recently married Sun to enter into a deal with her father that would forever seal Jin's fate. Back on the island, Juliet takes Sun to the medical station for a checkup, and Sun admits that she's not sure the baby is Jin's. Out in the jungle, Charlie, Jin, Hurley and Desmond discover that the parachute woman has been impaled by a branch. Suddenly, Mikhail lurches out of the trees and attempts to run away before being tackled by Jin. The parachute woman is clearly dying, but ex-army medic Mikhail agrees to help her in exchange for his freedom. After successfully removing the branch and ensuring that the woman can breathe, Mikhail unsuccessfully attempts to make off with the sat-phone. Later, the woman regains consciousness and makes a troubling remark about the ultimate fate of Oceanic Flight 815.
