Synopsis
In Bill Nye the Science Guy: Ocean Life, the Science Guy takes a look at the small organisms of the sea, including plankton, kelp, and coral. Although many of these life forms are too small to be seen with the naked eye, their importance to larger organisms is enormous. Bill Nye goes down to the depths to investigate phytoplankton and zooplankton and their place in the ocean food chain. His special guest is marine biologist Karen Montano, who visits tide pools with a group of youngsters for a look at the "nurseries of the sea.", Nye gets to the bottom of things when he takes a look at ocean ecosystems. Naturalist Karen Montano wades through tidal pools to examine the marine life that lives there.
