Synopsis
What do you do when your girlfriend leaves you to marry Duncan from Blue (Duncan James, appearing as himself)? You decide to outshine them on their wedding day, that's what. After a successful pilot as part of Channel 4's Comedy Showcase, Plus One returns as a series, following the best efforts of Rob Black to secure a beautiful woman as his wedding guest to get his own back. Rich persuades Rob that he needs a model to accompany him to the wedding: Rob works in the music industry so he must meet them every day, right? Unfortunately Rob's job is mainly coming up with track-listings for dodgy compilation albums, limiting his access to models. But he convinces his desk buddy Laura to let him accompany her to an album cover shoot, where he meets beautiful model and aspiring singer Aimee. He manages to blag a date with her by telling her he's best mates with Jamelia (guest appearing as herself); a lie that comes back to haunt him when the pop star makes a surprise appearance on his date. A few impressive "old skool" dance moves later, not only has Rob disgraced himself, but he's also in trouble with the law..
