How Long to Watch “Horseland”?

Introduced as part of CBS's "Secret Slumber Party" weekend-morning cartoon lineup, the half-hour Horseland was inspired by the AOL internet game of the same name. Originally created by a 14-year-old girl, the *Horseland site encourage players to create "virtual" horses and dogs, which were then bred for competition, with the players scoring the most points therein winning the game. Aimed at a 6- to 12-year-old viewership, cartoon series more closely resembled AOL's "junior version" of *Horseland, featuring a cast of cute talking horses who spent much of their spare time cracking wise about the human race. Typical character names included Chloe, Zoey, Alma, Searh, Baily, Molly, Will, Scarlet, Button, Calypso, Chili, Pepper, Aztec , Jimber, Teeny, Angora and Shep. Combining CGI and traditional animation to teach the kids at home such basic values as courtesy and fair play, Horseland first aired on September 16, 2006; the series was produced in association with CBS and AOL by DiC Studios.
