Episode Guide
Keith Moon
Series: Final 24
Synopsis
Keith Moon is often cited as the greatest drummer in the history of rock & roll, and he was certainly among the most flamboyant and influential. Moon's fiery, energetic performances with The Who set a new standard for rock drumming that pushed percussion into the forefront, and his legendary enthusiasm for partying, practical jokes and hotel room demolition earned him a reputation as the great wild prankster of British rock. But despite his outsized personality, Moon was in many respects a troubled man who struggled with alcohol and drug addiction before he died in 1978 at the age of 32. Keith Moon: Final 24 -- His Final Hours is an episode of the Canadian television series Final 24 which though interviews, archival footage and dramatic reenactments offers a look at the man behind the rock & roll myth, focusing primarily on the last day of his life and the circumstances that led to his early demise. Keith Moon: Final 24 includes interviews with Moon's daughter Amanda De Wolf, his girlfriend Annette Walter-Lax, personal assistant Peter Butler, and friends and fellow musicians Alice Cooper and Kenny Jones.
