Todd Carmichael is on the hunt for a rare blue mountain coffee in Papua New Guinea, which is known for its cocoa flavour. The only way he can get the quantity he needs is to find a gardening village full of small plot farms that have formed a cooperative to pool their coffee. But in order to get there, Todd must travel the infamous Highlands Highway, a road known for hijackings, murders, and fatal accidents. On his journey, he finds himself bribing private guards, trying the locals' favorite stimulant betel nut, and navigating a rainstorm in a small bush plane... all to make it to a small village that, hopefully, is organized enough, high enough, remote enough, and talented enough to be growing one of the best specialty coffees in the world!, As he navigates the roads of Papua New Guinea, Todd faces dangers and obstacles, including a rainstorm. He also resorts to bribing guards to get the coffee beans he wants.
