Tijdens een uitgaansavond in Rotterdam ontmoet de 34-jarige Ierse Renee de 18-jarige Tom. Hij neemt haar op zijn brommer mee naar huis, ergens op het platteland, maar na een gepassioneerde nacht verdwijnt hij de volgende ochtend schielijk om te gaan voetballen. Renee denkt rustig te kunnen doorslapen, maar komt er al snel achter dat zij niet alleen in huis is; Tom woont nog gewoon thuis. Ze wil stilletjes verdwijnen, maar wordt `ontdekt' en min of meer gedwongen de zondag door te brengen met Toms ouders, zijn puberende broertje, het pientere zusje en oma en opa. Ondanks dat iedereen zijn best doet, werkt Renee's aanwezigheid als een katalysator op latent aanwezige spanningen. Dat levert even ongemakkelijke als hilarische situaties op en een verrassende ontknoping in deze realistische plattelandskomedie.
