Yellow Lights
Synopsis
A lovelorn college athlete attempts to overcome the pain of his past and take control of his future in this independent drama about living in the moment, taking risks, and never hesitating to do what feels right. Brian (Bennett Chabot) may shine in the classroom and under the spotlight, but five months after being dumped by his ex, he still seems to obsess over the past. Then, seemingly out of the blue, Brian meets beautiful Wellesley student Alex (Aja Munsell) and the pair are inseparable. As attached as Brian is to Alex, however, he hesitates to get too close for fear that he will only be hurt again should he allow himself to love. When Brian's best friend Chris (Andrew Tsang) grows weary of being in a relationship where he isn't appreciated and makes a play for Brian's friend June (Amanda Hurley), it's obvious from the onset that Brian doesn't approve. When Brian begins to meddle, the destructive effects of his actions begin to reverberate through the relationships of all involved. Eventually, Brian realizes that his only chance for developing meaningful relationships and holding onto the friendships he has is to finally let go of his painful past and overcome his powerful need to always be in control.
