Synopsis
You just can't keep a good Satan worshipper down in this, the eighth terrifying installment in the Witchcraft series. Sonny Dunaway (Lee Grober) is a college professor whose marriage to Mary Ann (Kim Kopf) is not doing well -- partly because Sonny has been having an affair with one of his students, Cathy (Mai-Lis Holmes). Hoping a change of scenery will help, Sonny and Mary Ann move into a new home in Salem, MA, where they soon meet their busybody neighbors, Mitch (David Weills) and Gayle (Anthoni Stewart). Mitch is a plumber, and when Sonny and Mary Ann start having some trouble with flooding in their basement, Mitch offers to help fix the damage. While checking out the pipes, Mitch discovers a jeweled sword is plunged through a stone slab in the basement; Mitch pries the sword loose and keeps it, imagining it must be valuable. But before long they learn that Mitch made a very big mistake; the sword sealed the crypt of Simon Winfrough (Jack Van Landingham), a Satanist who was burned at the stake in 1692; now back from the dead, Simon is angry and looking for revenge.
