Synopsis
Fact-based drama in which a young woman is forced into a battle for custody of her child with the father's parents. Erica French (Keri Russell) is just 17 when she gives birth to her daughter, Molly, but she decides against adoption with the support of her mother Susan (Jill Clayburgh). Although Molly's father Scott wants nothing to do with either of them, Scott's parents decide that they would like to raise Molly themselves and launch a custody battle, painting Erica as an unfit mother because she places Molly in in a day care centre while she attends college.
