Synopsis
An idealistic teacher takes a job at a tough New York high school. She gradually earns the respect of her students in her English class, but comes to realise that she can learn just as much from them. Look out for Sorrell Brooke (aka Boss Hogg of The Dukes Of Hazzard) as just one of the well-drawn characters in this unsentimental movie.
