Synopsis
This deceptively simple first feature illustrates a Chinese saying "the clothes enter before the person". A tailor finds his life improving when he - innocently at first - starts wearing a policeman's uniform found in his family's laundry shop. Diao Yinan's undemonstrative narrative style allows the viewer to decipher the many secrets being lived in contemporary Chinese society.
