Synopsis
Education in developing countries is examined in this documentary, which chronicles the experiences of five children from their first year of school in 2003 through 2012, when they all should have graduated. The kids, who hail from Afghanistan, Benin, Brazil, India and Kenya, face a myriad of obstacles, including war, abject poverty and gender-based discrimination.
