Synopsis
Lon Bennett (Jeff Chandler) is a wagon master hired to escort Basque immigrants through the Western wilderness to California. He lusts after Gabrielle (Susan Hayward) despite the fact she is married. The group carries a valuable cargo of grapevines in hopes of becoming winemakers. Indians plan an attack, but the Basques turn the tables on the natives in mountainous terrain.
