Synopsis
A young man struggles to emerge from the shadow of his late father. Son of a great mountain climber, he sets out to climb the Matterhorn on the very trail on which his father died. The man-versus-nature theme is taken from the novel "Banner In The Sky" by James Ramsey Ullman. This Walt Disney film was released at the same time as the unveiling of the Matterhorn replica at Disneyland and capitalizes on the colorful Alpine scenery of both the movie and the amusement-park attraction.
