Synopsis
In this dark-edged tale of triumph of the human spirit, three small-town hookers struggle to beat the prostitution game. The girls' lives threaten to spin out of control until one lucky night when their pimp Tony gives them an 'invitation' to work the town Mayor's birthday bash. Which girl gets to be the Mayor's special treat?, Tony (Daniel Baldwin) runs a rather intriguing Hollywood brothel. His primary hookers -- Francesca (Julie Delpy), Mimi (Georgina Cates), and Dolly (Pamela Gidley) -- are given to elaborate, costumed, role-playing fantasies to please Tony's peculiar, highly emotional clientèle. The harlequin-outfitted harlots find their lives suddenly complicated by their increasingly strange customers, a relentless husband (Patrick Dempsey), and a political rally involving a sexually uninhibited mayoral candidate (Seymour Cassel).
