Synopsis
Burt Lancaster is a fur trapper who teams with an educated runaway-slave (Ossie Davis) in a battle against some marauding white scalp hunters (led by Telly Savalas) and some pelt-stealing Indians. Shelley Winters appears as a wagon-train riding dancehall queen who uses her female tact to survive among the rough and rowdy crowd she's hanging with.
