Synopsis
With deceptive simplicity, this Australian-Italian drama provides painfully honest insight into the mind and perception of a seven-year-old girl trying to cope with her parent's impending divorce. The story unfolds entirely from the unnamed girl's perspective, with no explanation or real setting but for that which she understands. The secretly distraught girl refuses to speak, but her thoughts are heard via voice-over as she reflects on happier times with her family and dreams of living with them in the country so she can have her own dog. Most of the child's thoughts though center on her hope and dream that her parents will stop fighting all the time and simply fall in love again.
