Synopsis
Romantic comedy about a timid twentysomething who finds himself unable to refuse the offer to lead a funeral service for a person he does not even remember. Tom Thompson (David Schwimmer) hopes to become an architect, but so far he has had little luck. When he receives a telephone call from a Mrs Abernathy (Barbara Hershey), who thinks that Tom was her son's best friend, Tom finds himself unable to refuse her request to speak at his funeral. Before too long, Tom and Mrs Abernathy have become lovers, even though his heart has been stolen by the beautiful Julie DeMarco (Gwyneth Paltrow).
