Synopsis
Horror tale in a man arrives in the New England town of Arkham with his wife and happens upon a portrait bearing an uncanny resemblance to himself. The subject is a man, burned as a witch in 1765, who cursed the villagers and future generations and vowed to return from the dead. The evil influence of the painting soon takes it toll on the newcomer, who seems forced to re-enact the events of a century ago.
