Synopsis
Written and directed by Luis Buñuel, this is a beautiful allegorical fantasy as a rich group of Mexican aristocrats gather for a formal dinner but then find themselves unable to leave the room. As the hours and then days pass, so they are stripped of every veneer of civilisation until lust, greed and superstition are their driving forces.
