The Aristocats
Synopsis
This animated Walt Disney production finds a cat named Dutchess and her three kittens inheriting a fortune from the estate of their matronly owner. When the butler discovers he will inherit the money should anything happen to the cats, he drugs them and abandons them in the country. They meet up with a street wise alley cat who helps them return to Paris, vanquish the evil butler, and claim their rightful fortune. The animation took four years and 4 million dollars to complete. Phil Harris, Eva Gabor, Sterling Holloway, Scatman Crothers, Nancy Kulp, George Lindsay and Pat Butram are just some of the celebrities who give the animated characters a personality with their expert voice work.
