Synopsis
Following Dominic Gill as he cycles the 20,000 miles from the wild northern coast of Alaska to the southern tip of South America on a tandem, picking up random strangers on the way. His passengers are people he meets in bars, diners and on the roadside - peasants, policemen, drifters, jailbirds, mayors, women he fancies - in short, anyone whom he can persuade to share the burden of riding his tandem for a few miles. From freezing tundra to burning desert, his journey takes him through some of the toughest landscapes on earth, with adventure, danger and unpredictability lurking around every corner.
