Synopsis
A woman in a remote mountain village in Albania (Alba Rohrwacher) renounces her femininity and swears to remain a virgin, a decision that, according to local custom, allows her to live with the rights and privileges of a man. Years later, however, she starts to re-embrace her identity as a woman during a trip to Italy to visit her married sister. Directed by Laura Bispuri.
