Synopsis
Writer-director Jessica Swale's literary war drama stars Gemma Arterton, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Penelope Wilton, and Lucas Bond. A reclusive and fiercely independent writer living in the English countryside befriends a young evacuee who is thrust into her care after the London Blitz. His innocence and exuberance helps her come to terms with her former love affair with another woman.
