Der Debütfilm von Hubertus Koch. Ohne Auftraggeber und eigenfinanziert begleitet Koch den Münchner Hilfsaktivisten und gebürtigen Syrer Mahmoud Dahi im Frühjahr 2014 in dessen Heimat. Entstehen sollte eine Dokumentation über das Engagement der Familie sowie die Hilfstransporte des 53-Jährigen Deutsch-Syrers für das Flüchtlingslager Bab Al Salameh im Norden Syriens. Dort angekommen erschlagen den damals 24-Jährigen die Gegebenheiten. Nach 10 Tagen in Syrien entschließt er nach der Rückkehr, seine eigenen Erfahrungen im Film zu verarbeiten und so eine teils verwirrte, aber umso wütendere Anklage an die gleichgültige Gesellschaft in Deutschland und seine Generation Y zu formulieren.
