Star Trek: First Contact

The Next Generation Star Trek crew are back for their second movie adventure, which this time sees them colliding with one of the most feared races in the entire universe - the Borg. Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), his deputy Commander William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and the rest of the Enterprise crew are propelled into action when the Borg, a deadly group of cybernetically-enhanced aliens led by the seductive Borg Queen (Alice Krige), hatch a plan to travel back in time to a period when Planet Earth was recovering from its devastating Third World War. During this so-called 'dark age', the citizens of Earth experienced 'First Contact' - humankind's first meeting with beings from another planet - and it is this meeting that the Borg intend to stop. By preventing First Contact, the Borg can stop the Earth from advancing and colonise it for themselves. It's up to Picard and the crew to save the planet - and the rest of the universe - from the Borg's deadly plot by travelling back in time to ensure that an ambitious rocket scientist named Zefram Cochrane (James Cromwell) is able to embark on the key flight which results in his meeting with an alien race.
