Spice and Wolf

This fantasy anime series tells the story of a peddler named Craft Lawrence, who travels from one town to the next selling his wares, hoping to save enough money to one day open up his own shop. His ho-hum travels are shaken up, however, when he discovers one day that his wagon has a stowaway: an adorable wolf-goddess girl named Horo. Horo may look like petite teenager (aside from the canine ears popping out of her hair) but she is actually 600 years old. She's been watching over the same town for centuries, and now she's ready for a break. Convincing Craft to let her join him on his journeys, the mild mannered goddess is now off to see the world - and Craft soon discovers that having a pagan deity around can be quite handy.
