How Long Is “Sleuth”?

Fresh and rewarding remake of the Broadway hit involving deadly cat-and-mouse games between a wickedly clever writer (Michael Caine) and his wife's lover (Jude Law), an actor whom he surprises with a most unusual moneymaking proposition. Caine played the lothario role in the 1972 original. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, co-produced with Law. Playwright Harold Pinter rewrote the script based on Anthony Shaffer's play. Law also played the Michael Caine title role in the 2004 remake of "Alfie.", On his sprawling country estate, an aging writer matches wits with the struggling actor who has stolen his wife's heart.
