On the way home from a rehearsal, 14 year old Tyler (Joey Polari) and elder brother Nick (Kelly Blatz, star of Aaron Stone) find a crashed UFO. They decide to take it home and hide it in the garage, and Tyler takes a trip into space. On his return he discovers he has superhuman abilities, and has become a Skyrunner. The brothers soon discover that the UFO is intelligent and is trying to warn them that aliens are planning to take over the Earth and destroy all its inhabitants. Tyler is captured by alien creatures and it's up to Nick to save him, so that the boys can foil the plot and save the world. They get home in the middle of Nick's graduation ceremony, and Nick is allowed to graduate after his teacher agrees to allow his repairs to the UFO to count as his science project. The boys use the UFO to fly to a beach and meet the girls, and as they leave it in a field we realise that four aliens are still alive, and plotting their revenge...
