Synopsis
1920s radio evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson (Anna Margaret Hollyman) has popularity that rivals the pope, but she struggles with the price of fame. She stages her own "disappearance" in California and runs off with her new lover (Michael Mosley) to Mexico for five weeks. She reemerges afterward claiming to have been kidnapped, which causes a media circus and massive police investigation. Written and directed by Samantha Buck and Marie Schlingmann. Based on the life of Aimee Semple McPherson.
