The life and work of Senegalese filmmaker Ousmane Sembéne are the focus of this documentary. Sembéne is often considered the "father of African cinema.", This documentary release recounts the life and cultural contributions of Ousmane Sembene, who is widely known as the father of African film. Co-directed by Jason Silverman and Sembene biographer Samba Gadjigo. Extras include a featurette on the making of Moolaadé.
