Synopsis
Mahalakshmi works as a housemaid at Amritavalli's residence. She and Mano, the grandson of Amritavalli fall in love. His mother, Thangam fixes his wedding with the daughter of her childhood friend. When Thangam hears about the couple, she is helpless and requests Maha to forget Mano. She dutifully agrees. Things work in their favour with the entry of Saravannan, a mystical cook.
