Synopsis
This farce starts out strong as a send-up of typical Greek melodramas but then becomes repetitive -- like stretching one good idea beyond the breaking point. Pure-hearted lovers, nasty, rich society women, cold, calculating businessmen, and the perennial hooker with a heart of gold are among the "types" that populate the drama. Singing and dancing are inserted here and there for added absurdity, and good sets and camerawork are a plus.
