동물병원을 운영하며 딸과 함께 살아가는 병수(설경구)는 한때 연쇄살인범이었다. 어떤 사람들은 죽어 마땅하다고 믿으며, 법의 이름으로 심판하지 못하는 악인들을 자신만의 방식으로 처단하던 병수는 17년 전의 자동차 사고를 계기로 살인을 멈췄다. 사고 후유증으로 알츠하이머병 판정을 받은 그에겐 가까운 기억부터 신호등 움직이듯 깜빡깜빡하다가 어느덧 모든 기억이 사라질 일만 남았다. 그러던 어느 날 병수는 마을에서 태주(김남길)의 차를 들이받는 접촉사고를 낸다. 본능적으로 그가 연쇄살인범임을 직감한 병수는 딸 은희(설현)를 지키기 위해 마지막 살인을 계획한다.
