In 1975 Argentina, Claudio, a well-respected lawyer, sits inside a fancy restaurant, idly waiting for his wife, Susana, to arrive. Suddenly, a stranger starts castigating him for taking up space and demands that he be seated instead. Claudio complies, only to berate his attacker back. The tension escalates and ends up in a bloody conclusion. When Detective Sinclair comes to the country three months later to investigate a missing person's case, Claudio finds his life unraveling.
