Synopsis
In 2001, Gabriel Bol Deng, Koor Garang, and Garang Mayuol emigrated to the U.S. as part of the Lost Boys of Sudan, an international relief program that resettled refugee children orphaned by the genocidal civil war that raged in southern Sudan from 1983-2005. This documentary from filmmaker Jen Marlowe chronicles the trio's 2007 visit back to Sudan to reconnect with surviving family members and contribute to their wartorn homeland's rebuilding efforts and peace process.
