Torino, 1977. La multinazionale statunitense Singer chiude la fabbrica di Leinì, vicino a Torino, lasciando per strada oltre duemila operai che decidono di organizzare una protesta. Alla lotta partecipa anche Maddalena, che la mattina del primo ottobre conduce l’ultima trasmissione di Radio Singer, una delle prime radio libere. Nello stesso momento un corteo si muove verso la sede universitaria di Palazzo Nuovo a Torino. Tutto accade in poche ore. Alle 13:10 la radio chiude definitivamente e il corteo è finito. Ma sono state lanciate delle molotov contro il bar Angelo Azzurro e un ragazzo che si trovava suo malgrado all’interno del locale è rimasto gravemente ustionato.
