아라끼 일당이 복순이를 괴롭히자 칠복은 박치기로 아라끼를 죽인다. 이들을 박장손이 숨겨주게 되는데 신고를 받고 출동한 일경 순사와 앞잡이 송달수에 의해 칠복은 결국 형무소에 잡혀간다. 8.15해방이 되어 출감된 칠복은 불량배들을 박치기로 막는다. 또한 칠복은 애인과 아버지의 원수 송달수의 무릎을 꿇게 한다.
