Danny Glover takes over from Arnold Schwarzenegger in this relentlessly hard-hitting sequel to the 1987 original. The Lethal Weapon star plays Mike Harrigan, a tough cop who finds himself facing the towering alien beast known as the Predator in Los Angeles,1997. As horribly mutilated bodies begin to turn up all over the city, including those of his partners (Bill Paxton and Ruben Blades), Harrigan begins to suspect that something other than human is responsible for the slew of deaths. When his worst fears are confirmed, Harrigan finds himself competing with Special Federal agent Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) to bring the elusive beast in dead-or-alive. Non-stop action and explosions from literally the opening the second to a tense and inventively staged one-on-one finale, this sequel manages to surpasses the original through brute force alone.
