Главный герой фильма «По прямой» — Боб — волей случая попадает на зону. Поначалу — в качестве охранника. Но жизнь на зоне и по ту, и по эту сторону решетки — крайне тоскливая. Вот и глушит Боб с друзьями тоску водкой да бормотухой местного разлива. А продолжает веселье — буйством и драками. Но в один момент такой беспредел встает начальнику поперек горла, и Боб отправлен отбывать наказание за решетку. А конвоировать его должен … самый лучший друг-собутыльник Фидель. Сутки добираются бывшие коллеги до места заключения. Но добраться до камеры Бобу так и не суждено….
