Everybody has a secret to keep and Kei's is a little bigger than most people's. He needs to hide the fact that he's married, that his wife is his teacher, and that his teacher is an alien. This bizarre situation may actually be just what Kei needs to draw him out of his current "stand-still," the symptom of a rare disease he suffers from that periodically throws him into a silent, semi-comatose state for hours, days, or even years.
