Movie
Pillow Talk
Synopsis
Michael Gordon's Oscar-winning war-of-the-sexes romantic comedy was the first of Doris Day and Rock Hudson's three on-screen pairings. Jan Morrow is an interior decorator happily living the single life in her New York apartment. Brad Allen is a successful Broadway composer who lives next door. The two have never met but Jan becomes increasingly irritated by the simplistic ruses she overhears lothario Brad using to woo a seemingly never-ending stream of gullible women on the telephone line they share. Surely he could never snare her so easily. Could he? Also starring Tony Randall and Thelma Ritter, the movie won the 1960 Oscar for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay (with Day nominated for Leading Actress and Ritter for the Supporting Actress Academy Awards).
