Synopsis
Austrian writer-director Ulrich Seidl's triptych on female longing concludes with this look at burgeoning sexual desire. Seidl brings his trio of movies full circle to explore the life of Melanie, daughter of Teresa, the sex tourist from the first film, Paradise: Love. Thirteen-year-old Melli has been sent to a summer camp for overweight children while her mother is on her carnal safari in Kenya. The camp offers its teenage 'conscripts' back-to-back chores and military-style exercise programmes in an austere setting; the teens exercise their free will by enjoying illicit booze, playing spin-the-bottle and sneaking out to a nightclub. But Melli also develops a serious crush on the camp's doctor, Artz. And, by repeatedly feigning illness as an excuse to visit him, Melli attempts to woo the medic, despite the 40-year age gap between them... In German, with English subtitles.
