Depuis la mort de Ben, qui s'est tué en moto, Jean et Paddy, qui étaient respectivement l'amant et la maîtresse de Ben, forment un couple sauvage. Leur maison part à l'abandon, ils se croisent sans se voir. Ils semblent se haïr et pourtant ne cessent de s'aimer.
