Outlaw Trail
Synopsis
Like previous entries in Monogram's "Trail Blazers" series, Outlaw Trail stars veteran horse-opera specialists Hoot Gibson and Bob Steele. However, the third member of the Trail Blazers, Ken Maynard, has been replaced by Native American character actor Chief Thundercloud. Other than this substition, the film is a standard series entry, with our heroes taking on a crooked businessman, ironically nicknamed Honest John (Cy Kendall). In addition to his other crimes, Honest John is a counterfeiter, and that's why the territorial government has called in the Trail Blazers. Somewhat unbelievable in spots, Outlaw Trail proved eminently satisfactory to its target audience.
