Synopsis
Mischievous misfit mutts and a clever cat called Oliver make a refreshingly different cast for this largely animal animated version of the Dickens' classic. In this re-working of the much-loved story, Oliver is an orphaned kitten who's taken in by a pack of pickpocket dogs and their human master, Fagin. Like the human Oliver, our hero has lots of adventures in a charming feature film full of comedy and great music. Star voices enhance the characterisations, with 'Brotherly Love' star Joey Lawrence as Oliver. Hit singer-songwriter Billy Joel made his acting debut in this film, as the voice of Dodger, the coolest quadruped in Manhattan and leader of the pickpockets. Top class animated entertainment in the inimitable Disney style.
