Notes on a Scandal
Synopsis
When a newly arrived art teacher (Cate Blanchett) at the prestigious St. George's school enters into a torrid affair with one of her young male students, an aging instructor (Judi Dench) who senses a kindred spirit in the beautiful new teacher uses her knowledge of their transgression to wield an obsessive power that soon threatens tragedy for all involved. Director Richard Eyre teams with screenwriter Patrick Marber to adapt author Zoe Heller's novel of the same name.
