Never Alone

Ernest Dickerson's tough crime thriller stars rapper DMX as King David, a drugs-dealer who uses a mix of heroin and violence to get his way with women and fellow hoods alike. The film is told from beyond the grave - it opens with King David in his coffin. But his narrative is supplemented by his diaries which are in the hands of hack writer Paul, which explains the twists and turns in the final story, involving a deal with a Mr Big and an out-of-control underling who tries to play both ends against the middle.
